In some spiritual traditions, birthdays are considered auspicious occasions that mark a person’s progress on the path to enlightenment. For example, in Buddhism, the birthday of the Buddha is celebrated as a holiday called Vesak, which is considered a time to reflect on the Buddha’s teachings and the path to liberation from suffering. Similarly, in the Sikh tradition, the birthday of Guru Nanak is celebrated as a time to reflect on his teachings and the values of service, compassion, and justice.
Cesare Pavese, the Italian poet, once said, “We Do Not Remember Days; We Remember Moments.” It sheds light on how memories are created and how closely we hold onto those special moments.
So reflect, grow and fill your life with moments!
Sincerely
